Dump Khaki for Saffron”:quit to join Sangh – MNS Chief slams IPS Officer

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray publicly criticized Nagpur Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangare Patil over his speech praising the RSS at a right-wing event. Thackeray accused the
senior IPS officer of demonstrating “dual loyalty” and warned him against mortgaging his institutional propriety to political parties.
The core details of the public critique include:
A video emerged of newly appointed Nagpur Police Commissioner Vishwas Nangare Patil addressing a regional Hindu Samaj Sammelan where he openly praised the RSS and its founder, Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.

Raj Thackeray released a public statement criticizing the officer for abandoning the complete impartiality required of a police force. He told Patil: “Do not pawn your institutional propriety before political parties”.
The MNS chief stated that if officers harbor a deep affection for the RSS or wish to take a public political stance, they should resign from civil service first and join the Sangh or the BJP.

Thackeray questioned the silence of the ruling state government and took a dig at an alleged “rehabilitation scheme” for favored bureaucrats, recalling a 2012 incident where a constable faced suspension simply for appreciating an MNS march.
