At the India-Japan Annual Summit in New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi warmly referred to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi as his “choti behen” (younger sister). This gesture came following a private conversation where
PM Takaichi mentioned that she considers PM Modi an elder brother, much like she did with the late Japanese PM Shinzo Abe.
Prime Minister Takaichi warmly embraced the sentiment, stating the two leaders would take their nations forward with the trust of a brother and a sister.
