Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has publicly challenged Prime Minister Modi’s message of forgiveness toward protesting students, demanding that the Union Government immediately back up its online rhetoric by withdrawing all criminal cases and police FIRs registered against the youth.The statement comes directly in response to a selfie-style video uploaded to the Prime Minister’s official Instagram and X handles.
In the video, the Prime Minister addressed the intense youth agitations over exam paper leaks at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, stating that he chose to “forgive” the misguided children who hurled crude personal abuses at him and his late mother. “Today I just feel like talking to you… Some mischievous children used very crude and abusive language… I want to forgive them,” the Prime Minister stated while urging society to guide the youth rather than drag them through legal harassment.
Reacting sharply to this public outreach, CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke posted a viral rejoinder questioning the substance of the prime ministerial pardon.
“Sirf reel par hi maaf karoge ya cases bhi vapas loge? (Will you forgive them only in a reel, or will you also withdraw the cases?)” Dipke inquired, highlighting a stark disconnect between public relations videos and the reality of state actions. The CJP emphasized that real forgiveness cannot coexist with active police crackdowns, such as the recent criminal cases and Zero FIRs filed against young demonstrators.The CJP maintains that the widespread student anger stems from systemic institutional failures, including the national paper leak crisis and subsequent police heavy-handedness.
Although the Prime Minister’s video implies a softer approach, the student outfit warns that unless all legal intimidation and harassment against the youth are permanently halted in the physical world, the promise of online reconciliation remains empty. The organization has reiterated its warning that student groups will return to the streets for massive, peaceful demonstrations if the government continues to selectively penalize young citizens who are fighting for their educational rights and future.
