Renowmed music composer Uttam Singh who was close to Asha Thai reminisced the legendary singer
as an “institution” and highlighted her warmth, generosity, and unparalleled versatility, sharing personal memories of her cooking meals for his team late at night. He noted her irreplaceable, unique style and “generosity”.
Singh emphasized that Asha Bhosle was not just a singer but a complete institution of music and recalled her
caring nature, specifically how she cooked “chicken and rice” at 1:30 am for his team after a recording session and subsequently honored her
unparalleled versatility to master any genre of music. The composer also went in to recall working with her on the popular track “Le Gayi Le Gayi” from
Late Yash Chopra’s “Dil To Pagal Hai”.
Singh further stated that a singer and human being like her will never be born again, calling her loss a void for the industry.
