Remember Sanjay Gupta “Shootout at Lokhandwala” fame. The renowned filmmaker is into the making of Biopic on
Mumbai’s notorious drug lord, Shashikala aka Baby Patankar for which he has roped in
celebrity advocate Ayaz Khan
as a Consultant. Ayaz had represented Baby Patankar in the ’90s. Reportedly the Drug Lord Baby Patankar had taken over the male bastion.

According to Sanjay Gupta
while taking notes from Baby Patankar or her family, it is their perspective and bound to be one-sided and there is a flip side to every story. Hence while getting the viewpoint of the police and the narcotics bureau officers of that time lawyer Ayaz Khan is the right person who is well versed on both sides.

Notably, Khan has represented celebrities, including Fardeen Khan, Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa. While the filmmaker explores the journey of Meow Meow queen, as she was known when she allegedly became Maharashtra’s biggest dealer of Meow Meow and the filmmaker wants it to be a balanced narrative.

Sanjay adds a woman who worked as a milk vendor and house-help in the mid ’80s, forayed into the drug business and rose through the ranks to control the narcotics empire of India by the late ’90s. Gupta gets Ayaz Khan on board to ensure that nothing goes wrong with the legalities.

Meanwhile, as per Gupta, while initially envisioning the project as a web series, it has now been converted it into a film which is in the scripting stages
