Yogesh Bhoir Former Corporator Uddhav Thackeray Sena faction arrested in Extortion case
News comes to the fore that
Unit 11 of the Mumbai Crime Branch, Mumbai Police has arrested Yogesh Bhoir of Shiv Sena faction led by Uddhav Thackeray for alleged extortion and criminal intimidation in Kandivli, Mumbai.
Reportedly, very recently, he had secured an anticipatory bail in another case of extortion where he had allegedly extorted a businessman.
Sources reveal that Bhoirs’ wife, an incumbent corporator had made a strong protest to her husband’s arrest, claiming that he was arrested notwithstanding anticipatory bail.
However, as per crime branch officials, the former corporator was arrested under a new case filed against him.
Reportedly, the crime branch of Mumbai Police had launched a manhunt for the accused Yogesh Bhoir. His name cropped up in the case after the arrest of the prime accused, a self-proclaimed RTI activist who tried to extort Rs 1 crore from a Mumbai-based developer.
