Aaditya Thackeray: 10 km Cycle track-Jogging track at Powai lake area
Mr Aaditya Thackeray reviewed the progress of conservation and beautification work in Powai Lake area. Inspected about 10 km cycle track and jogging track planned here.
Mr Aaditya Thackeray wanted senior citizens to be provided seating facilities, entry and exit facilities from various places.
“This evening I visited the Powai Lake where on my humble request, the MTDC and BMC
are working on creating a 10.2 km walking/ cycling eco friendly track with the natural contours and all flora fauna being maintained as they are” said Mr Aaditya Thackeray
“The corporation is striving to complete the work by the new year while preserving the beauty of nature”. Add. MC Mr P. Velrasu Mudaliar from BMC and MD MTDC Ashutosh Salil were present
“As we progress with the track, it not just open up a natural urban space to citizens and tourists alike, but also help us interact with nature better. The Powai lake is a gem of our city with its beautiful surroundings. Every aspect of this track will be eco friendly” said Mr Aaditya Thackeray
Most of the residents of Powai are happy about the venture
some of them requested that Hyacinth has taken over the lake and BMC has not awarded a contract for cleaning of lake.
some residents requested that sparrows, cuckoos, bhardwajs, shingir birds, mongooses, snakes etc. should not be pushed out from their original habitat
