Sameer Wankhede: NCB seizes 9 Kgs of Charas (Hashish), 436 blots of LSD and 300 grams of Marijuana
Mr Sameer Wankhede-NCB Zonal Head- Mumbai, “NCB Mumbai in its continuous fight against Drug Suppliers and Peddlers in Mumbai and in view of the Anti-Drug week ,NCB Mumbai launched 02 operations in various places of Mumbai and seized a total 9 Kgs of Charas (Hashish), 436 blots of LSD and 300 grams of Marijuana on 21 & 22.06.2021 and intercepted 01 Indian national namely Shreyas Kenjale. Interrogation of the said accused is going on.”
OPS- I:
On specific information a team of NCB Mumbai raided house of Shreyas Kenjale at Nagare Niwara, Goregaon (E), Mumbai and recovered huge quantity of LSD i.e. 436 blots of LSD (Commercial Quantity) & 300 grams of Marijuana in the late night of 21.06.2021.
NCB Mumbai registered the case in Crime No 62/2021.
LSD, the common name for lysergic acid diethylamide, is a hallucinogen. LSD is a synthetically created psychedelic drug that is known for its induction of a range of psychological effects. An LSD trip includes various images and also sensations. To the person experiencing them, they seem very real, but they’re not actually occurring. There are more than 80 street names for this recreational drug, and the generic name is lysergic acid diethylamide.LSD in Mumbai is emerging as a popular Drug amongst youngsters and college students and is mostly imported illegally from European countries through Dark Web
OPS- II
On follow up action in previous seizure of 17.3 Kgs Charas (Hashish), a team of NCB Mumbai identified and seized 02 bikes at Dadar, Mumbai. During thorough examination and rummaging a false cavity was detected in the petrol tank of the said bikes. Total 9 kgs of Charas (Hashish) was recovered from the cavity of petrol tank made by the peddlers on 22.06.2021.
These bikes have been used for drug trafficking by the accused Rajvinder Singh and Gurmit Singh (Accused in NCB Mumbai Cr No 57/2021). Further investigation in the case is in progress.
