DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade: ANC 3 operations, Drugs worth Rs 1.22 crores seized, 5 arrested
Mumbai Police DCP Anti Narcotics Cell Datta Nalawade informed that in 3 major operations drugs worth Rs 1.22 crores were seized and 5 people are arrested. Cases have been registered CR-9/2022, CR 10/2022 and CR-11/2022 under various sections of the NDPS act. Three Units of ANC- Azad Maidan, Worli & Ghatkopar Units were involved in the operations.
The Ghatkopar Unit seized 2.5 kgs of Charas worth Rs 75,00,000 and arrested 3 persons Wasim Pila, Sohail Shamim Memon and Zuber Soheb Shaikh. Charas hidden in various areas from Bhiwandi was seized.
In another operation , The Bandra Unit of ANC arrested a citizen of Ivory Coast recovered 198 MDMA pills and 213 LSD papers worth 43.8 lakhs . The African named Williams Kakao is being further investigated.
The Worli Unit of ANC arrested a women Aarti Ritesh Vasave and recovered 26 grams of MD- Mephedrone worth Rs 2,60,000 from her. Aarti was picked up from Balaji Nagar, Dharavi.
This is one of the major operations this year.
