Housing Minister Jitendra Awhad Slams Congress MLA Zeeshan Siddique – MLA Housing issue. NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar has asked for a meeting for clarification on the MLA Housing issue.
“You have 10 houses worth crores and this scheme is meant only for #MLA of rural #Maharashtra and not for Mumbai MLAs, and I thought u have good understanding nobody is getting a house free of cost ..Hope u have understood it now
Earlier Housing Minister had clarified, “There is a lot of fuss about the houses being given to the MLAs. I would like to clarify that these houses will not be given for free and the cost of the land + construction cost (expected cost 70 lakhs) will be charged to the concerned MLAs.”
Zeeshan Siddique earlier tweeted against MLA Housing- “I don’t need a house from the Maharashtra government when thousands of ppl in my Vandre east assembly aren’t getting houses & are living in dilapidated conditions.Request

ji to spend this money to build their houses instead of giving houses to MLA’s”.
Zeeshan Siddique further added, ” Regardless of who is eligible for the house & who is not. No MLA of Maharashtra should be given such benefits when the common man is homeless. We have been elected to solve problems of the common man and not take houses for ourselves. No MLA with a conscience should accept this!”
Zeeshan further mentioned , “Sir I’m glad u finally found the time to reply to me on Twitter as u haven’t been able to reply to me last few days in the assembly regarding SRA issues of my constituency Vandre east.
