DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade: Nigerian caught with Rs 60 lakhs MD Mephedrone Drug in Goregaon
Mumbai Police -DCP Anti- Narcotics Cell, Datta Nalawade informed that a Nigerian was caught with Rs 60 lakhs MD Mephedrone Drug in Goregaon. Case CR/105/2022 has been registered under various sections of the NDPS act.. Further investigations are on.
On tip off, the Bandra Unit of Anti Narcotics Cell headed by Officer Sanjay Chavan , Shrikant Karkar, Dada Gaikwad and others laid trap near Aarey Colony , Goregaon. When they saw a person moving suspiciously , intercepted him and on frisking found 400 grams of MD on him. Further investigations are being conducted under officer Dada Gaikwad.
Mephedrone causes euphoria, stimulation, an enhanced appreciation for music, an elevated mood, decreased hostility, improved mental functions and mild sexual stimulation; these effects are similar to the effects of cocaine, amphetamines and MDMA, and last different amounts of time depending on the way the drug is taken
