The sudden death of a seemingly healthy person who exercises regularly is very rare. It raises a bigger issue.

Dying during or immediately following physical activity occurs rarely. But the exercise-related deaths nevertheless raises concerns for people who want to keep active during middle age and later years.

No doubt, regular exercise is a cornerstone of good health, and its long-term benefits for both longevity and protection against heart attacks, cancer and other ailments.

TV actor Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi collapsed after workout at a gym in Mumbai. He died of a sudden cardiac arrest.

Earlier in September, popular standup comedian and actor Raju Srivastava died at AIIMS, Delhi after suffering from a major cardiac arrest triggered by a treadmill run.

Now news comes to light of a person losing his life while jogging. He succumbed to an heart-attack.

The deceased, Rajendra Ramkrishna Bhise, a resident of Seawoods Navi Mumbai, died of a heart attack while jogging at Marine Drive in preparation for a Marathon.
After collapsing, he was rushed to Saifee Hospital but the hospital authorities declared him dead before arrival.

As per Senior Police Inspector Vishwanath Kolekar, he was a
resident of Seawoods in Navi Mumbai.

He had come to Marine Drive to practice for an upcoming marathon, confirmed Senior Police Inspector Vishwanath Kolekar.

Reportedly, Bhise had recently retired from his Government post at Mantralaya.
He was known to have led an active lifestyle and enjoyed running marathons.

Police reports reveal that the cause of death was heart attack.
Meanwhile, the family revealed to the police that he had blood pressure- related issues.

The body was sent to GT Hospital for post-mortem before being handed over to his family members.

The police has registered the case as accidental death.
Further investigation is underway.
