BJP entices Southern actors in its battle for aptness in Kerala
BJP is running campaigns in the state like “Nanni Modi” to exhibit its many successes.
However, its state leaders term that Kerala is a long-term investment.
While the BJP eyes on a 50% vote share and a higher seat tally in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Kerala is the one state where the party has had no luck.
In the 2019 parliament elections, the party drew a blank. Its tally in the assembly elections has been just as discouraging, with only one politician — O Rajagopal — winning an assembly seat in 2016.
