Near stampede-like scenario with massive turnout by job seekers in Air India- video goes viral
On Tuesday amidst the rain, Kalina witnessed an enormous assemble of job seekers following walk-in interview announcement by Air India Airport Services Ltd announced walk-in interviews. The assemble of countless candidates led to a near stampede like scenario which prompted the intervention of the authorities. A video has surfaced online
As per a tweet posted on X, the swell of the crowd soon became uncontrollable forcing the organisers to change their approach as candidates were asked to leave their CVs and vacate the premises to restore order.
The incident showcases the intense competition for jobs and raises concerns about the organisation of such large-scale recruitment events. Notwithstanding the challenges, the organisers assured that all submitted CVs would be reviewed, and eligible candidates would be contacted for further processes.
Air India Airport Services Ltd has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident and the next steps for the recruitment process.
This comes days following a similar incident in Gujarat’s Bharuch where hundreds of people gathered for just 10 vacancies in a private company.
Meanwhile Air-India claimed that fortunately there wasn’t any injuries in the near stampede-like situation.
