10% water supply cut in Mumbai to stay-lake levels at 3-year low
Notwithstanding the continuous heavy rain, civic officials state that the rise of water levels in the lakes catering to Mumbai’s needs is slow and that the 10 per cent supply cut, imposed earlier this year, is therefore expected to continue for a while.
The total stock in the seven lakes saw a rise of five percent in the past 24 hours, with the lake waters touching 47.29 per cent (6.84 lakh million litres) of their capacity on Monday morning.
