Namak Halaal’ clocks 44 years of its release

This timeless entertainment by Prakash Mehra released on 30th April 1982,
remains one of Bollywood’s most loved masala blockbusters.

A perfect blend of comedy, action, music, and emotion,the film gave to the industry and the cinephiles a menorable character Arjun Singh, brought to life by the one and only Amitabh Bachchan .

With a stellar ensemble cast including Shashi Kapoor, Smita Patil, Parveen Babi, and Waheeda Rehman the film turned out to be a cinematic gem of its era .

Music by Bappi Lahiri gave iconic songs like “Pag Ghungroo”, which still makes hearts dance.

From the legendary dialogue:
“I can talk English, I can walk English… because English is a very funny language!” to its emotional loyalty driven storyline, this film continues to live in every Bollywood lover’s heart.

‘Namak Halaal’ which was made in Tamil featuring the Tollywood’s legend Rajnikant was one of the highest-grossing films of 1982, selling over 20 million tickets, proving its everlasting magic.
