Musical tribute to Bollywood’s Golden Era

Veteran actress and BJP MP Hema Malini is celebrating 60 glorious years in Indian cinema with
“The Dream Girl’s Diamond Jubilee Concert. Fans can expect a breathtaking, nostalgic journey featuring songs, rare visuals, and heartfelt memories of her iconic on-screen collaborations with legends like Rajesh Khanna, Shammi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Jeetendra, and Dharmendra.
The event features her very first live singing debut The Dream Girl’s Diamond Jubilee Concert and will take place on July 10 at Shanmukhananda Hall in Mumbai. The star-studded evening is dedicated to raising funds for CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes’ Association).

Hema Malini’s extraordinary journey through Indian cinema spans over six decades, cementing her status as one of the most influential and enduring icons in Bollywood history. Rising to unprecedented heights in the 1970s and 1980s, she shattered industry norms to become the country’s highest-paid actress, carrying major blockbusters entirely on her own star power. Her definitive title as the definitive “Dream Girl” of Indian cinema was permanently etched into pop culture following her radiant performance in the 1977 film of the same name. Beyond her ethereal screen presence, she redefined the cinematic leading lady through an exceptional blend of commercial appeal and profound artistic versatility.
Her legacy is deeply intertwined with some of the most celebrated milestones in Hindi film history, most notably her legendary on-screen partnership with Dharmendra across twenty-eight films. Together, they delivered an unmatched string of romantic and action hits, capped by her immortal portrayal of the feisty, fast-talking carriage driver Basanti in the masterpiece “Sholay”. Yet, her contribution to the arts extends far beyond mainstream cinema. As an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, she seamlessly bridged the worlds of commercial storytelling and classical Indian dance, elevating traditional performing arts on global stages while continuously reinventing herself as an actress, director, and cultural ambassador.
