“Ramayana” makers Sagar Pictures return with “Lord Krishna”
The scriptors of epic mythology Ramayana, Sagar Pictures Entertainment are staging a comeback with epic tales of Lord Krishna from Srimad Bhagavatam.
In the midst of the 2020 lockdown, Doordarshan re-aired the classic Ramamand Sagar directorial “Ramayana”series, igniting a wave of nostalgia and enthralling the audiences once again. This re-run emerged as a ratings phenomenon, accomplishing the highest viewership for a Hindi general entertainment channel show since 2015.
As per reports, this ambitious project will feature a pan-Indian cast, with actors from various film industries.
The team behind the unforgettable legendary Ramayana television series, Sagar Pictures Entertainment
will be adapting the epic Srimad Bhagavatam for both film and television, bringing the stories of Lord Krishna to life for a whole new generation.
Meanwhile, the news was confirmed by a leading Indian film critic, Taran Adarsh, on X(formerly known as Twitter) in a post with brief details about the project.
