In a conversation, Aditi showcased the ongoing struggles of the crew members, saying,
“The work is delivered properly, yet when it’s time for payment, they are blocked, ignored, or left with unread messages. Their chats are archived, and they’re left in the dark.
They’re not asking for charity they’re demanding the money they’ve rightfully earned.” This reality affects many professionals who quietly keep the industry moving forward, but often without receiving their due compensation.
The issue extends beyond actors to the entire crew. They shoot for almost 24 hours straight, and that’s not just for the actors,” Aditi added. The entire crew is involved in every shot, working tirelessly to ensure the production runs smoothly. After such dedication, it’s only fair that they expect their payments to be made on time.
Aditi expressed the injustice of their situation, saying, that when the payment time comes, all they hear are excuses, leaving them in difficult financial positions. A commitment is a commitment, and it should be fulfilled as promised.
