Amid a recent event, Ekta Kapoor chatted over the emotional challenges of raising her son without the love of a father and the guilt that comes with it.
Ekta, is one of Hindi Cinema’s most influential figures and son, Ravie Kapoor, whom she welcomed through surrogacy in 2019. However, regardless the joy of motherhood, in the midst of a recent event, she discussed on the emotional challenges of raising her son without the love of a father and the guilt that comes with it.
She further revealed how she communicates with her son even though he’s very young, the struggles she faces in dealing with the emotional complexities of single parenthood.
She went on to reveal that she had many people who were advising them and also talked to her seven-months old child that he did not have a father and she is learning with him.There is a feeling of guilt in the mind. But perfection is an illusion and she will not be able to become a perfect mother.
Earlier, the television director had also mentioned that her journey to motherhood was far from easy. She opened up about her seven-year-long struggle with infertility. She revealed that her doctors had given her several fertility options over the years, and in her chase to become a mother, she decided to freeze her eggs at the age of 36.
Recently, rumours circulated that she’s becoming a mother once again through surrogacy. However, sources close to Ekta Kapoor swiftly dismissed these rumours and said that the reports were false and urged journalists to verify such claims before publishing them.
Ekta Kapoor is veteran actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor’s daughter. After schooling in Bombay Scottish School, Mahim completed her college at Mithibai College. She kick-started her career at the age of 17 and interned with feature filmmaker, Kailash Surendranath.
And over the years launched many blockbuster shows, including Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Pavitra Rishta and Bade Acche Lagte Hain.
