The Government of India has introduced the “One Day, One University” initiative, a daily campus outreach program where a Union minister visits a higher education institution to interact with students, discuss national issues, and share details about youth-oriented welfare policies.
One Union minister will visit a designated university every single day to hold direct dialogues with students.Core Objectives: Gather student perspectives on national issues, hear youth concerns, and promote government schemes related to education, skill development, and employment.
Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi and Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya are leading the coordination efforts with participating universities and cabinet colleagues.
The program aligns with recent youth-centric goals announced by Prime Minister Modi including upcoming free online competitive coaching initiatives while fostering direct communication channels across India’s network of over 1,300 universities.
