Ahead of Khalnayak clocking 30 years, Sanjay Dutt shared a post on Instagram which included clips from1993 action crime film accompanied by the hit title track. The movie scripted directed, and produced by Subhash Ghai, stands as one of the colossal hits in Sanjay Dutt’s illustrious career. In the film, Dutt essayed the role of Ballu, a negative character who managed to captivate the hearts of the audience with his stellar performance.
Expressing his gratitude, Dutt wrote that he wants to congratulate Subhashji, a director with the Midas Touch and one of the the greatest filmmakers of the Indian Film Industry, Jackie Dada for being the perfect Ram, and Madhuri for being Ganga, along with the entire cast and crew of Khalnayak. He feels grateful and proud to be a part of such an iconic film, and cherish every moment of it.
Dutt further added, “30 years have passed, yet it feels like a film made yesterday. He thanks Subhashji and Mukta Arts, once again for creating this film and for including him in it. The actor also extend his gratitude to all the fans whose love has turned Khalnayak into a classic.
However, it was director Subhash Ghai who corrected the actor’s mistake regarding the release date. Ghai pointed out and clarified that the film was actually released worldwide on August 6, 1993, contrary to the date mentioned on Google as June 15. Ghai also hinted at a surprise to be unveiled on August 6, 2023, as part of the grand celebration for the film’s 30th anniversary.
