Mumbai-Pune in 90 minutes flat
through Trans-Harbour-Link
Good news to those regular travelers to Pune. With the Trans-Harbour-Link coming into operation from 25 December, one can reach Pune in just 20.minutes. This much-awaited project will significantly reduce travel time amidst Mumbai and Pune, this transforming the way people travel between these two cities
This is expected to reduce the commuting time between Lonavala-Khandala-Mumbai by 90 minutes, offering a valuable time-saving alternative for daily travelers.
In the midst of peak hours, traffic congestion is a common problem on the narrow roads in the Nhava Sheva area of Navi Mumbai.
Vehicles can often be stuck in traffic for up to 45 minutes. Fortunately, the MTHL offers a solution by providing a short 1.5 km detour that allows vehicles to bypass these congested areas and avoid unnecessary delays.
The regular route taken by frequent travellers to Pune, which involves P D’Mello Road, Freeway, Sion, Panvel Expressway, and Mumbai-Pune Expressway, is expected to change.
Instead, commuters can opt for the P D’Mello Road-Freeway (exit before Sewri)-MTHL route, which links to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway via Chirle and passes through the under-construction Navi Mumbai International Airport route. This alternative route is anticipated to be more effective and time-efficient.
