Gujarat emerging as a big medical hub in India ‘PM Modi

PM Modi hails Gujarat as the emerging big medical hub in India. He also highlighted the advancements in the health sector. The Medical hub boasts of 40 medical colleges and increased MBBS seats.

PM Modi shared his remarks virtually at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Khodaldham Trust Cancer Hospital in Gujarat.

He went on to add that for public welfare, Shree Khodaldham Trust has taken a step forward. From today, the work for Cancer Hospital and Research Centre will commence in Amreli.

PM Modi also made a note of Gujarat’s remarkable progress in the health sector.

Gujarat, till 2002, there was only 11 medical colleges however as of now, the number has swelled to 40. PM also added that in 20 years, the MBBS seats have escalated five times.

PM Modi even stressed that the government is making efforts to ensure hassle-free treatment for cancer patients. He revealed that in the last nine years, almost 30 new cancer hospitals have been developed in the country. Work is underway at 10 new cancer hospitals.

On Sunday, 21 January, PM Modi visited the Kothandaramaswamy Temple in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu, and offered prayers. This visit precedes the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla slated for tomorrow in Ayodhya.

The PM Modi also visited Arichal Munai in Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu, believed to be the location where the Ram Setu was constructed. Amidst the visit, PM Modi was photographed offering a floral tribute at the Arichal Munai point.
