Minister Jitendra Awhad: Need to reduce GST on Covid treatment essentials

Minister Jitendra Awhad highlighted the need to reduce GST on Covid Essentials.

He highlighted that GST payable on the following are, 12% GST on Oxygen Concentrators 12% GST on Remedisivir 12% GST on Ventilator 18% GST on PPE 5% GST on Vaccines.

On Mucormycosis, he said, “Let there be No Psychosis over Mucormycosis ( black fungus ) It does not affect everyone.ONLY patients of Covid, who have very very high blood sugar levels and that too for many days: these are patients who are at high risk of getting this Black Fungus Infection. Not everyone.

There is a general feeling among the masses of this Country that huge GST should not be levied on Covid treatment essentials. It should be “zero GST”
